Kaplan is known for having some of the best MCAT preparation classes but Kaplan classes can be a bit pricey for a student.

Students can study for the MCAT on their own. There are lots of MCAT review websites that offer students access to sample MCAT questions, MCAT review materials and sample MCAT tests so that the student can get familiar with the type of questions that the MCAT will ask and how to properly answer the MCAT questions. It is best to begin preparing the MCAT at least a month before the actual test date. Taking several practice tests with help the test taker be more comfortable with the test format before taking the actual MCAT.
Registering For The MCAT
Registration for the MCAT can be done line at the official MCAT website or it can be done on campus through a student advisor. Most students find it easier to pick an available test date and register online. Registering online is usually discounted in price since students are encouraged to register online. Registering online also allows students to see in real time if the MCAT test date that they want is available. The official MCAT website also gives students information about how to read the MCAT test results, what the average MCAT test score is, and how to retake the MCAT if the student is not happy with the results of the test.
